ANCIENT CYSER
Cyser originated in England over a thousand years ago when the Anglo-Saxons would sweeten their native bitter apples with honey to improve their flavour when fermented.

THE CIDRE INVASION
Over time, apple cultivation improved: sweeter varieties arrived from France during the Norman conquest, along with new ways of making cidre (Our beloved cider is actually French)! Meanwhile, the expensive practice of using honey slowly disappeared.

CYSER RETURNS

In 2024, good friends George Dennis and John Chambers felt this ancient British drink deserved a comeback and launched The Cyser Company. We’re reimagining cyser for the modern drinker with the benefit of the latest fermentation techniques and the highest quality ingredients.

HELPING BEES

We rely on bees! Without, the work of our pollinating friends, there isn’t any honey in the jar or apples on the trees. So we’re duty-bound to help out: we donate 10% of our profits to bee conservation initiatives such as planting wildflowers to help boost wild pollinator ecosystems.
